How do we reduce the risk of a bad hire?

What steps help prevent costly mis-hires and early turnover is perhaps something most employers have in mind. This issue is a big problem because people are people. We have screening tools, skills assessments, multiple interviews, reference checks, background checks, and still… things happen.

The short answer is, use recruiters like Dawson & Dawson who really care about the client, and at the end of the day, even some that you thought were going to be the best hires still don’t work out. Use your gut: decide which MUST-HAVE skills are vs. what you can train them on, AND decide based on culture/team fit… don’t take too long or you lose good candidates to process.
